After teaching guitar for over 30 years, I’ve created a beginner-friendly course that gets you playing music right away! I believe learning guitar should be fun, so every lesson includes great songs you’ll love while building a solid musical foundation. I keep things simple and engaging—no overwhelming theory—while still emphasizing essential skills like rhythmic notation, good technique, and musical fundamentals. My philosophy is simple: if you have fun and learn the right way, you’ll set yourself up for lifelong musical success!

Chris Shahin
Chris Shahin has been a dedicated full-time guitar instructor in the San Jose area for over 30 years. As the owner and founder of the San Jose Guitar School of Music, he has helped countless students develop their musical skills.
In addition to running his private teaching studio, Chris serves as the director of the SJG Rock Workshop program and oversees the SJG group lesson program, which provides music instruction through the City of Campbell.
Chris holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music from San Jose State University and teaches a wide range of musical styles and skill levels. He is also the author of five guitar books and has composed and produced six albums of original music. To learn more, visit his personal website: www.Chrisshahin.com
